Jakob der Bruder is a Vienna-based artist who started painting graffiti in 2016. His densely composed murals and prints layer figures, faces, and organic elements into visual narratives that reward close looking — classic graffiti letterforms fused with figurative storytelling. He painted a mural at the Calle Libre Festival in 2024 and has been featured in Berlin’s Urban Nation Museum.
This three-color risograph translates his mural-scale density into print — a lone knight on horseback framed against a chaotic tangle of armored figures, lances, and shields. The composition echoes medieval manuscript illumination and the Wimmelbild tradition: the longer you look, the more you find.
