Sebi works across spray stencils, robotic pen drawing, gold leaf, and digital collage. His practice moves between appropriation and reinvention — art-historical imagery taken apart, digitally recombined, then translated back into physical form through plotters, stencils, and direct painting. Gold meets street, canon meets intervention.
Venus with Sword pairs antiquity’s most famous amputee — the Venus de Milo, ideal of classical beauty, her missing arms the accidental poetry of two millennia — with Narsil, the shattered sword of Tolkien’s Middle-earth. It’s an ironic collision: the limbs that time took from the Venus are answered by the blade that severs them in myth. Classical canon meets pop-fantasy canon, gender ideals meet power symbols, and the whole thing lands on jet-black recycled paper in a single risograph color. A compact 20x30cm commentary that plays bigger than its format. The motif also exists as a 1x2m screen print, edition of 3 — get in touch for details.
