Huariu is a Portuguese muralist whose name comes from locals asking “who are you?” during his mural work abroad – a question that became both identity and artistic program. Working with a distinctive halftone line technique, he renders large-scale portraits and figures that hover between photorealism and graphic abstraction. His viral portrait of Lewis Hamilton brought international attention. In 2019, he came to Vienna for the Calle Libre Festival, where these editions were produced.

Embrace captures two figures in Huariu’s characteristic halftone language, lines shifting between connection and dissolution. The smaller 40x50cm format brings an intimacy that contrasts with his monumental murals, while the three-color screen print preserves the tonal depth of his wall work.
