Studio Elastik is the design practice of Constantin Demner, a Vienna-based designer and typographer who also curates @fontwien. This series of artprints was created for salonplafond, the restaurant inside Vienna's MAK - Museum of Applied Arts - where Demner's typography-driven designs sit between graphic art and applied design, matching the venue's blend of tradition and contemporary culture.

Es sommert sehr plays on a Viennese turn of phrase with Demner's characteristic typographic wit - letters that feel handwritten yet meticulously composed, printed in two colors on Favini Crush Kiwi paper whose green-flecked surface reinforces the summery theme. The approach sits somewhere between Ed Ruscha's word paintings and traditional Viennese café poster art.
