Mahir Jahmal – Porsche

The works of photo artist Mahir Jahmal unfold in the process of development in the darkroom. His works are transformed into a three-dimensional medium through a mechanical process, transcending the boundaries of photography. The artist has become best known for these large-scale photographic works. The present two silkscreens show two automobiles, a Porsche and a Mercedes Benz which have been transposed from one of his originals in half-tone raster and a gold tone without disregarding the three-dimensional quality of the photographic objects, adding another element and at the same time reflecting back to his originals.
