Artist Statement:
The “Temporary Nostalgia” series examines the sociological impact of media consumption during the 1990s and 2000s, a time of significant audiovisual growth. Focusing on the influence of DVD and VHS movies, the series presents altered covers and backs as key media artifacts. It offers insights into how childhood media exposure shapes internal realities and cognitive development during a phase marked by deception and constructed realities. Today, social media further reshapes these realities. The artistic concept is providing a humorous yet alarming view of the intensified exposure for past and current generations.
