Artiste Ouvrier is the moniker of Pierre-Benoît Dumont, a French stencil artist regarded as one of the most refined of his generation. Working with just two stencils but up to 48 hand-sprayed color layers, his pieces achieve a luminosity that recalls Pre-Raphaelite painting and Symbolist masters like Gustave Moreau - who called himself an "ouvrier assembleur de rêves," a philosophical ancestor to the name. Banksy personally invited him to London's Cans Festival in 2008. In 2019, he came to Vienna as Q21 Artist in Residence during our Living Studio project, creating work that engaged directly with Klimt and Vienna's Secessionist legacy.

This mimeograph was produced during the Living Studio 2019 project at the MuseumsQuartier, printed on-site together with master printer Erwin Blok.
