Sebastian Rzepa is a young Vienna-born artist whose intuitive, puristic paintings combine faces and typography in large, expressive formats. Working primarily with acrylic and oil crayon, Rzepa paints in dialogue with music — each canvas reflecting both societal observations and personal emotional states.
Obst Kopf — German for fruit head — plants Rzepa’s work in the lineage of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, the 16th-century master who assembled human faces from fruit, vegetables, and flowers for the Habsburg court. Where Arcimboldo employed botanical wit, Rzepa updates the concept with raw, street-adjacent energy. Four-color screenprint on Pergraphica paper.
