Andreas Nader – Living Studio Ed. 1

Andreas Nader is a Vienna-based artist and master printer, born in 1981. He studied photography and graphic design in Linz before founding Printaffaires, the screen print studio behind most LEAP editions. For a period, he co-curated the Jan Arnold Gallery at MuseumsQuartier Vienna with Sebi Schager and launched the Perfekt Prints series in 2013. His own artistic work draws on photography, cartography, and technical drawing — always circling back to the Alpine landscape.

Living Studio Ed. 1 is a risograph print created during the Living Studio residency at MuseumsQuartier Vienna (frei_raum Q21, 2018). Two translucent color fields — lavender and pale yellow — frame an Alpine landscape photograph, shifting its tonality like a filter held against the light. The layered risograph process echoes the subject: landscape seen through landscape, image upon image.
