Ben Frost is an Australian artist whose bold Pop Art has been subverting brand logos, cartoon characters, and pharmaceutical packaging for over twenty years. He paints on everything from canvas to found cereal boxes and pill packaging — consumer culture’s visual language turned against itself. Featured at the MCA Sydney, Urban Nation Berlin, and Saatchi Gallery London, he has also collaborated with Moschino for Milan Fashion Week. In 2016, we hosted his month-long Spoon Full of Sugar residency at the Jan Arnold Gallery. The title says it all — as Frost puts it, “Sugar is something that we all know is bad for us, but we crave and desire it so badly.”

FEAR packages anxiety as a consumer product — literally. A manga-style figure floats above the word FEAR®, styled as pharmaceutical branding complete with “100 TABLETS.” It’s Warhol’s commodity fetishism meets Kruger’s confrontational text, rendered as a four-color screenprint. Blue edition, signed, numbered, and blind-stamped.
