PERFEKT WORLD – FACE OFF

Each work takes an iconic painting from art history, offset-printed in full color, and crosses it with a single screenprinted word — the title itself, stamped dead center like a label over the original. Part of a series of three large-format prints by Sebastian Schager, created with Axel Just during the PERFEKT WORLD years (2007–2016). A series to be continued.

FACE OFF — the title borrowed from John Woo’s 1997 film — cuts across Leonardo’s Mona Lisa, the most reproduced face in Western art. Identity swapped, surface claimed.
