Huariu (PT) – Brush of the Beyond (Risograph)

Huariu is a Portuguese muralist whose name comes from locals asking "who are you?" during his mural work abroad - a question that became both identity and artistic program. Working with a distinctive halftone line technique, he renders large-scale portraits and figures that hover between photorealism and graphic abstraction. His viral portrait of Lewis Hamilton brought international attention. In 2019, he came to Vienna for the Calle Libre Festival, where these editions were produced.

Brush of the Beyond in its risograph edition distills the large-format screen print's halftone complexity into an intimate A4 format. The single-color risograph on Biotop paper strips the image to its essential graphic structure - pure line work without the tonal interplay of the larger edition.
