Linda Steiner is a Vienna-based artist, born in East Tyrol in 1993. Her bold, graphic practice spans painting, illustration, and street art — fierce female figures rendered in flat color fields that tackle feminism, identity, and body politics with sharp visual humor. She presented a duo show with Mariella Lehner at the Jan Arnold Gallery as part of the No Opening series during lockdown (2020) and painted a large-scale mural at the Calle Libre Festival in 2024.
Flower Girl plays with scale like a botanical fairy tale — a small figure in checkered top and flame-patterned cowboy boots tends wildflowers that tower above her. The warm three-color palette of orange, green, and yellow gives the image a folk-art warmth that recalls Mary Blair’s mid-century illustrations. Originally conceived as a mural for the Calle Libre Festival 2024, this screen print edition captures the same playful energy in a smaller format.
