Milu Correch is a self-taught Argentine muralist from Buenos Aires whose large-scale narrative works weave Latin American folklore, mythology, and witchcraft into densely layered visual stories. Her figures - anthropomorphic, powerful, often female - draw on pre-Columbian iconography and the tradition of the witch as a symbol of independent womanhood, placing her closer to Leonora Carrington's magical realism than to conventional street art. She was invited to Vienna by the Calle Libre Festival in 2017.
Sobre 504 translates Correch's mural-scale narrative language into a two-color screenprint on recycled paper - a material choice that echoes the DIY ethos of the Buenos Aires mural scene where she learned her craft. The reduction to two inks concentrates the visual density that defines her larger works.
