Stephen Tompkins is an American painter and experimental animator whose work deconstructs cartoon imagery, comic art, and vintage animation into what he calls “organic associative assemblages.” Represented by Galerie Ernst Hilger in Vienna, he presented a solo exhibition at the Jan Arnold Gallery.

Black Heart was part of PERFEKT PRINTS Edition No. 1, twelve two-color screenprints produced with Viadukt Screenprints as a PERFEKT WORLD collective release in 2013.
