Tom Venning is a British artist whose practice centers on asemic calligraphy — rhythmic, gestural line work that hovers between writing and drawing. Over more than a decade, he has developed a distinctive visual language of flowing, illegible scripts.

Ego — the title names what the hand reveals when it writes without words — was part of PERFEKT PRINTS Edition No. 1, twelve two-color screenprints produced by Viadukt Screenprints for the PERFEKT WORLD crew in 2013.
