Ben Reyer is a Vienna-based visual artist, born in the US in 1985. At the core of his practice is a vast personal archive of comics, vintage magazines, and advertising ephemera collected since childhood. From this material, he builds collages, paintings, objects, and clothing that remix brand logos and visual codes of consumer culture — always laced with a sharp dose of humor. He presented a duo show with Rudolf Fitz at the Jan Arnold Gallery and participated in the Living Studio residency at MuseumsQuartier Vienna.

Addicted to Love mimics the ornate typography and framing of a vintage tobacco packaging — “AMORE,” a heart, pyramids, palm trees, and the tagline “Love & Happiness Blend.” It’s a fake product that could sit on a shelf next to Robert Indiana’s LOVE or a 1920s cigarette tin. Two-color screen print in deep magenta and neon red.
