Grip Face is a Spanish artist from Mallorca whose raw, figurative style draws on outsider art and folk traditions. His characters – distorted faces, fragmented bodies, disembodied organs – occupy a visual world somewhere between Jean-Michel Basquiat’s urgency and the grotesque humor of Philip Guston. He presented work at the Streetartpassage Open Archive at the MuseumsQuartier.

Exporteditems on Gmund Urban Cement paper gives this six-color screen print a completely different character than the Munken Pure edition – the grey, mineral-textured surface absorbs the ink differently, lending the already raw composition an almost archaeological quality. Available in three distinct grey tones, each with its own mood.
